Event Description:
Camo? Check! Beer? Check! Hunting gun? Double check! Bag a deer? Ummm… Join the fun and audition for the laugh-out-loud funny “Deer Camp” production on Wednesday, August 14 and Thursday, August 15 from 7-9 p.m. at State Street Theater Co .

Four buddies are enjoying their annual deer hunting trip, but this year is different. After 15 years of coming home with nothing but a hangover, their wives have given them an ultimatum: Bag a deer or your deer camp days are over! Only one hurdle stands in their way—none of them knows how to hunt. Do they buy a dead deer? Steal one? Could they possibly try to…shoot one? With this wacky troop, it seems the only ones safe in the woods are the deer, but with song and dance, a bit of chance, and some audience interaction, their prayers are answered just as they run out of beer. Get ready to laugh your antlers off!

Become a part of deer shack fun! We have roles available for four men and encourage all interested to audition. First-time actors are warmly encouraged and welcome. Auditions will be a cold read from the script and singing. Open auditions at the State Street Theater Co., 1 N. State Street, enter at Washington Street back parking lot, stage door. Rehearsals will take place from August through October.

Performances will be held Friday through Sunday, October 11-13, 2019. For more information, please email statestreettheater@gmail.com, or call 507-359-9990.
