50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Moon Landing
Libraries to celebrate 50th Anniversary of moon landing Sleepy Eye’s Dyckman Free Library and New Ulm Public Library invite you to join them to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Historian David Jones will present “Apollo: Why We Went to the Moon - A Non-Technical Look at Mankind’s Greatest Technological Achievement” at Dyckman Free Library (345 W Main St, Sleepy Eye) on Saturday, July 20 at 10 a.m. New Ulm Public Library (17 N Broadway, New Ulm) will show a newly released moon landing documentary on Tuesday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. The film features never-before-seen footage of NASA’s first mission to the moon, is rated G, and runs 94 minutes.
