SUMMARY:Tour of the Martin County Museum/Senior Center Trip
DESCRIPTION:Trip Details: We will meet in the CAST Senior Center parking lot at 12pm and carpool to Fairmont for the 1pm tour. CAST is paying the admission for attendees\, so this program is free. Open to the public\, but pre-registration is required so we know how many will be attending. Register by calling 507-354-3212 (leave a message with your name\, phone number\, and if you need to carpool or will be driving separately. We're continuing our tours of museums around the area with the Martin County Historical Society in Fairmont. Recommended by the Director of the Watonwan County Historical Society\, the MCHS mission is simple yet vital: to preserve\, protect\, and share the rich history of Martin County. Through thoughtful acquisition\, conservation\, and presentation of historical artifacts and stories\, they ensure that the county's past remains accessible for all whether for research\, education\, or the joy of discovery. As we explore the museum\, we'll find resources\, exhibits\, and opportunities to connect with local history in meaningful ways. Hosted by the CAST Senior Center\, CAST Educational Programs were developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens\, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round\, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center\, but also travel to area libraries\, museums\, places of interest\, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted\, the programs are provided free and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips. Check out our program schedule every month and join us for our next event. We look forward to seeing you!
