DESCRIPTION:The internet at your fingertips or only what they want you to see? Internet search engines are a multibillion-dollar industry that only grows as more websites are created. Search engines organize these vast amounts of data\, but how do they do it? Come learn about what search engines are\, how they work\, and how you can make them work for you by understanding the best ways to word your query to get the best results. You're welcome to bring your device (laptop\, tablet or smartphone)\, if you wish. This program is free and open to the public. No pre-registration required. Provided by the CAST Senior Center\, this programming was developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens\, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round\, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center\, but also travel to area libraries\, museums\, places of interest\, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted\, the programs are provided free\, and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips. Check out our program schedule every month and join us for our next event. We look forward to seeing you!
