With the help of our generous community businesses and attendees\, we raised an amazing $92\,000 to support breast cancer survivors and their families in our area.\n\nWe have been hard at work building our network and connection programs. We have granted four HOPE Getaways to families from Minnesota. Our very first recipient and her husband are hoping to head to Peru this fall to pursue her lifelong dream of climbing Rainbow Mountain. \n\nAs travel is a bit uncertain in coming months\, we are utilizing donations now to give "HOPE Handbags". Cancer doesn't stop for COVID-19\, so now is an even more complicated time to face a breast cancer diagnosis. We are working to immediately lift up survivors with these kits that include support connection resources\, access to a closed Facebook survivors group and other inspirational items.\n\nThat brings us to our request. Unfortunately\, due to COVID\, we had to cancel our plans for the 2nd annual B the Light Gala\, which would have been October 24th at the New Ulm Event Center.\n\nInstead this year\, we will be hosting the "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes" fundraiser! Individuals or teams can pick an activity (walking\, running\, biking\, Crossfit\, yoga\, for example) and set a goal!\n\nFrom October 1st through the 8th\, {representing 1 in 8 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime}\, participants will push to achieve their goal!\n\nWe look forward to partnering with you to shine light on those affected by a breast cancer diagnosis by becoming an event sponsor.
